Good choices on the light sabres I thought, strangely enough I was watching the Glastonbury festival on the telly and the Ride of the Valkyries was on - the Valkyries were waving what could only be dildo sized lightsabres (I don't know the story fully!)

I know a song made up entirely of cuss words that I usually start singing quite loudly when this kind of topic is brought up...but I can't bring myself to do it right now. I've got this weird feeling that it would be disrespectful. Odd, I can smart-off to most people all the time without thinking twice about it, but I'm almost afraid to do it to someone else's parents. I keep thinking "Don't be rude to Yahtzee's mom. You might piss both of them off, then you'd be in biiiiiig trouble...just like that Dave Hill fellow."
And for some reason I'm starting to feel ashamed of my signature now...it must be the "lack of verbal skills" bit that's getting to me.
EDIT: Funny how you jump from a request to tone down the cussing to something about dildo-sized light sabers, though. It's a tad disturbing for some reason...

I'm with Jane as well. The topic transition was quite bizarre...but damn I laughed at the incongruity it presented to my senses.

And getting the world to sing in perfect harmony would be bloo...ming difficult, needs lots of co-ordination.

I hate swearing. It makes me shudder when I hear kids and young girls swearing.
I grew up around some ugly and violent people, and that was their language.
Except for some people in the acting and music business most seem to grow out of it.
You don't hear it for instance from over 30 yearolds, quite so much.
It's still cool among the very young.
I'd like to just ask....Do, or did your parents swear at, or in front of you?

Ah ha ha haa! But Dear Mudda I have not repented. I have acknowledged and agreed that I engage in this deplorable behaviour from time to time, but never did I repent.
For I like the freedom to express myself in any manner that takes my fancy at any given time. From the loftiest articulation to the most debase of language. A place for everything and everything in its place.

Yes, as a matter of fact, my dad's particular favorite is "goddammit," despite the fact that for some reason he tries to censor himself around me these days. I'm not technically repented, either. I quite enjoy cussing, or at least sticking to variations of the three least offensive words.
Hang on, "bloody" is considered a swearword? I didn't realize that...well four words, then. I only use the others when I'm extraordinarily pissed off to the point of not being able to think straight...or just really, really pissed off.
I think I may have a different sense of what is offensive and what isn't, seeing as how words like that don't bother me in the least...

I forgot to answer this question.
No, my mother almost never swore in front of me. My father did from time to time usually during times of stress or anger. But then again I almost never swear in front of my parent either so I consider us even.

Why not just scream "Carrots" or "Rhubarb"!

I found it extremely funny and thus continued until heavier objects were thrown at me.

You all know what they are.
They begin with F and C. And crazy as it may seem they make me cringe...I do a lot of cringeing.
What I meant was, do your parents use those two words in ordinary conversation?
Have you ever been called a f...ing little c..t by your parents or carers?
Incidentally, I don't consider bloody, bugger or shit swearing, at least they don't make me cringe. In Australia, 'bastard' is almost an endearment, unless f...ing is used in front of it.
