Nice work with the Be Heccubus' Valentine Contest. You are sure to rope a perfect lady with those qualifications.

But do you think you have given yourself enough time to review the applicants? wink.gif

I gave myself six months. I think that's more than enough time. Considering the fact that I expect to receive a grand total of two entries, the desicion process is pretty much already taken care of up until the semi-final round.

I was going to submit an entry, Hecc, despite being heterosexual and having a girlfriend, but then you stuck in the "You must be female." qualification, so you're not getting any crappy candy hearts from me! Good luck with real entries though, man. And why make a contest out of it in the first place?

I'll scare up no entries at all, and I'll do it now.

Not exactly Mr. Optimistic, are we? You're a charming young man, I'm sure you'll get more than two entries. smile.gif

So is the deadline February 13th, or February 1, or what? Girls need hard deadlines! A hard deadline is good to find.

I would totally qualify if not for the whole having a boyfriend thing. Sorry dude.

I would like to reiterate Laura's point about the deadlines -- ladies love 'em, almost as much as they love things like boyfriend contests and cool James! I'm not saying you have to abide by them, however -- after all, I took the Be Chefelf's Girlfriend Quiz almost a year before Fate (played by Paul Redcloud) made our paths cross.

So actually what I am saying is Heccubus, beware! You never know when your innocent "Be Heccubus' Valentine Contest" might take a turn for the sinister, and you'll find yourself followed about by a nagging woman who doesn't really like video games and demands that you shave every day! Forwarned is forearmed, my friend.

1) You will note that a taste in games is nowhere to be found. I mean, really, I don't devote much of my time to playing them, so I doubt that it's really an issue.

2) I don't even have to shave every day yet, so we're clear there.

3) I find it kind of funny that you segue from talking about meeting Chefelf into talking about "a nagging woman who doesn't really like video games and demands that you shave every day". Does anyone else find that funny? I found that funny.

4) I figure I'll put up a straight deadline once it starts pushing closer to Valentine's Day. It all depends on how many entries there are in total, and how busy I am (thereby indicating the amount of time that I have to give any thought to it).

5) I also find it funny that this much discussion has been generated from a silly little contest put on by a website with approximately 12 visitors.

I think (read: know) Jen is referring to all of the things that she does.

She does hate them video games.

I have nothing against video games, it's just that I don't know a great deal about the subject. Perhaps if I had more time and money. Hey, I'm an ex-Atari kid myself and used to be quite the Centipede and Pac-Man champion, but those type of games seem so simple-minded compared to the stuff that's out on the market now. Shooting at little bugs and gobbling up dots can be quite fun and a good way to unwind from time to time.

Yeah, but nothing will ever compare to the simplistic utopia found within old Atari 2600, Intellivision, or Coleco Vision games. My Coleco still rocks the block on a regular basis.
