Too bad the producers are blaming Ewan MacGregor and Scarlet Johansen for the movie bombing.

You laugh, but that is probably a better title. Here's another good article (though that producer is a jackass): http://www.zap2it.co...--26463,00.html
"The Island" is a horrible title. No matter how many times I hear about it I always have to spend two minutes trying to remember which movie it actually is. Then I'm like, "Oh, that Sci Fi movie!"
Every time someone mentions it the first thing I think of is that Leonardo DiCaprio movie, The Beach.

I think it's hillarious they're blaming its failure also on its "original" idea, so as to blame the public as well, for not having enough imagination. Funny that, seeing as everyone I know found something to compare it with, most often THE CLONUS HORROR, but occasionally COMA. they might as well have made a movie about a comet that's about to hit the Earth.
"I had a lot of different ideas. At one point, Luke, Leia and Ben were all going to be little people, and we did screen tests to see if we could do that." -George Lucas, in STAR WARS: the Annotated Screenplays (p197).
