"What made your parents horny?" It's rather disturbing, isn't it?

I was born on September 28th 1986 - nine months before that would be January 1986. And yes, I know that this is a lie, but nothing - absolutely nothing - happened in 1985, especially in December, so there. Plus, mathematics is not my field of expertise. However -
January 28th of 1986 is exactly the day on which the Space Shuttle Challenger boldly lifted its nose to the stars to explode in a huge white mess only 73 seconds after it started, thus reaching a traumatic climax in American history and killing an innocent school teacher in the process.
Try to beat this, fellas!

Now if that's not a total winner, then I don't know what it is...

And what do we have on the 26th of April, 1986?
"In Ukraine, one of the reactors at the Chornobyl (Chernobyl) nuclear plant explodes creating the world's worst nuclear disaster. 31 are killed directly by the incident, many more died from cancer in later years, many thousands more were exposed to significant amounts of radioactive material, vast territories in Ukraine and Belarus rendered uninhabitable."
That would explain something.
But wait, isn't it the same day when Bobby Ewing died?
My folks must like death and destruction!
Man, my parents are sick weirdos!
It's no news to me, though.
