There's probably a case for moving this to the game room, but I thought I'd draw attention to this story as some recurring night-life themes crop up here, including Rockstar getting in trouble, Rockstar gaining muchos publicity for being in trouble and people who love to complain complaining about something.

Bully for you (possibly)

Hey look, they actually mentioned that it just might be the parents fault.

People, we are at the brink of a revolution.

P.S. Who cares if plenty of gamers have already known that information?
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

Well, I think this game is much more likely to influence kid's behavior than GTA, mainly because it's in a setting that thier much more familiar with, and it's bullying, which is fairly common in elementary schools, at least.

As for the game, I'm not going to get excited about it till I see some more screenshots and read a description.

You know what, since the playstation generation has been born, crime rates amongst teenagers and kids has dropped considerably. Every news program that speaks of the evils of computer games are stupid and retarded since they allow kids another outlet for their anger.

The only bad side is that we can't rebel properly anymore.

You know what? Crime has decreased since the appearence of Rockstar. Why? Well, criminals can now make violent acts without being arrested in their PlayStation.

Long live Rockstar!

Yeah. I don't need to drive 100 miles to visit a city when I want to pay for a prostitute, kill her when I'm done, take all of her money, run over her corpse five times with a stolen car, kill the ambulance driver who comes to save her, blow up the ambulance, steal the firetruck that comes to stop the ensuing fire, and then run over pedestrians anymore.

But as a guy who was chewed up and spit out by the public education system, I'd have to say that nothing should be condoning bullying, because the psychological trauma is long lasting. But again, this would just make bullys more creative, not create more bullies. However, I would never think of playing this game, and I don't know what target audience would...

Same. The idea of being a school bully doesn't particularly appeal to me. Neither did the idea of Manhunt. Come on Rockstar, why not try something that is just plain controversial?

The game doesn't look interesting to me, but I think it will be a bestseller in elementary schools. Why? Bullies can now bully without going to detention and the guys who are bulied can feel wthe feeling of being a bully.

And this is what Rockstar says about the game:

QUOTE
''Rockstar Games describes the upcoming title as one where gamers play as a "troublesome schoolboy" who "stands up to bullies, gets picked on by teachers, plays pranks on malicious kids, wins or loses the girl, and ultimately learns to navigate the obstacles of the fictitious reform school."
