Overlord 2

This week the imp actually represents an imp once again.

I don't know wether Yahtzee has played the original game, but it struck me that nothing he mentioned was new (as far as I remember), except that you could ressurect specific imps. Has anyone played both games? I'm just curious if the developers have actually made any innovations to gameplay at all.

I'm planning on playing part 2 anytime soon, I really like Overlord. Mr. Y may be right about the linearity and all but hell, I always considered it to be more of a casual game. You just kick back, enjoy the beautifully rendered scenery, then send a shitload of rampaging minions to smash everything up and burn things to the ground while collecting stuff to make your own tower look pwetty. Good times. It's really not too difficult, but I still had fun with toying around with different strategies for different enemy types.

Pop quiz, hotshot. Garry Kasparov is coming to kill you, and the only way to change his mind is for you to beat him at chess. What do you do, what do you do?

Yeah well I too thought it was like a very much narrowed down version of Fable, where you can't actually play the good guy and you mainly specialize in summoning magic. And I found Fable very restricting. So nah, not my cup of tea.
