I found Dogmeat. I soon realised that he had failed to navigate his way out of the scrapyard, and I couldn't find him when I went back there. Then a few days later after sleeping in my house in Megatron, I find him standing in the living room. So I told him to stay there. I'm surviving fine on my own, and he isn't likely to speak up in conversation, so I think he'll be ok there.

Yeah, that got me at first but you have to activate all the items in a certain order. You'll notice if you've done it wrong when you hear a 'error' kind of beep when you activate the wrong one. I think the order goes: radio, pitcher, garden gnome, pitcher, cinder block, something something...
Eh, I can't remember now.

Bitch ass cocksucker fuck fuck fuck I hated that puzzle.

Broken Radio
Glass Pitcher
Garden Gnome
Glass Pitcher
Cinder Block
Garden Gnome
Bottle

I swear, I'll never max out my Karma to be the ultimate Jesus again. Totally ain't worth it.

Got my masters in Science, Repair and Small Guns - those were the really useful ones. Medicine and Speech were a waste. Should have gone with Energy Weapons towards the end.

But really, this was a most excellent game. Just when I got bored of scavenging the DC ruins (they really should have included more versatile equipment, with more special effects, to make that part interesting), I simply switched over to following the main quest again et voilá - fun. I didn't explore the upper half of the map, and I'm pretty sure that it would have sufficed to keep me playing for another week or two, but it would also have become incredibly dull and I'm not that much into torturing myself.

And I want one of those Liberty Primes.

It's running of the Oblivion engine, so you may want to look into spawning missing characters in that.
