When can we start flinging uncooked rice at you? I don't get to hurl raw grain products at innocent people nearly enough in everyday life.

I wholeheartedly third Heccubus, except... eh, at the third page, what's the point?

I actually was a little suspicious that you two were already married and just keeping it a secret from everyone.

But anway, congratulations, sir! I expect to see Jen's forum title changed posthaste.

Mireaux: I might debate what you said, but alas, this is not the thread for it.

EDIT: I see Jen's title has already been changed to "Chefelf's Bethrothed". That Chefelf. Always thinking two moves ahead.

smile.gif Ah, good times indeed, people around me seem to really get in the mood for marriage lately. One of my friend's found his beloved one in the army, hell, that proposal was a lot of fun.

"Miss Grauhof, you're being promoted to 'Fiancée'! Do you accept?"
"Sir, yes, Sir!"
"Awww... wub.gif"

(Yeah, okay, so they don't actually use those phrases in our army, that translation was a bit rough, but it's essentially the same)

So, um, speaking of which, how'd you propose to her? Or vice versa? Something special? Something common? Something that makes my poor heart melt even more? crying.gif wub.gif laugh.gif

Janey, well, you could just do it to random people on the street...

I also second gobbler's request for the proposal story. I have visions of Nate with his arm around Jen, sitting on their couch watching some movie and eating popcorn, and Nate just turning and saying "So... Wanna get married?" and Jen saying "Sure." and then continuing what they were doing. tongue.gif

I already got the proposal story! I won't tell anything, but I will say that it was very romantic sounding, and made me go "AWWWWWWWWWW!"

It seems that Mr. Chefelf is a big ol' softie biggrin.gif

I understand a hot air balloon was involved. Also, a swimming pool full of rose petals, and a giant caramel statue of Jen (in a contemplative mood).

I really don't know how he did it.

To commemorate this event, I set up Mozilla Thunderbird and downloaded some 10,000-odd spam messages off the mail servers for my old @tuahan.com account. Anyone want a virus?

It is with a great deal of happiness that I announce that Jen and I are officially engaged. We're happy to let you all know about this wonderful event. I generally hesitate from putting up short 'life updates' on this site but that's basically the whole of it.

The exciting planning phase has officially begun. This means that instead of watching dozens of episodes of Whose Wedding is it Anyway? for fun we can now watch dozens of episodes of Whose Wedding is it Anyway? and call it work.

Also, we're going to have to see if we can, "make a dolla holla."

Congratulations Chefelf and Jen!!! I'm so happy for you two!!! I'm not sure what kind of ceremony you're having, but lemme know if you need a J.O.P. referral biggrin.gif

Congrats, guys! I wish you many many years of love and joy and dancing in the rain and swimming in the pudding and whatever else your hearts desire!
