Yeah, so, nobody seems to have posted about Yahtzee's latest FR.com update about ags background design, so here I am doing the necessary duty.

IS THIS BACKGROUND FROM THE NEXT TRILBY GAME??? (ow, stop hitting me)

Looks like it takes place in space.

I wonder if any of that tedious background work could be automated.

The final game will not feature Trilby.

That's my prediction, at least. Yahtz isn't planning to make any more
Trilby games anyway (but we all know how well Yahtzee sticks to his plans).

Bear in mind that it is also possible that those backgrounds are not from the next chapter of the X Days saga, but from something else, a new project perhaps...

(Shit, who am I trying to kid...)

It might be a bit similar (perhaps the finale is set in space?), but it ain't the same, Mr Iceman.

Dunno what you're looking at, man, but it's...

Yeah. Not that. At all.

THIS is the prison cell from 7 Days.

I'm just here to point out your shortcomings and stupidity.

Screw this! Who cares about the background? I want to know who is this red coat guy:

He looks like a cultist to me. Yeah, he's one of the Order guys! They got the fake Somerset! He'll tell them everything! The technology realm is doomed! It's so cool!

Yes, I believe it is most likely the last chapter in the thrilling saga will be set in space. Evidence:
1. Space is fucking cool!
2. 'Cause there's not much to say after Notes. Trilby said he sent the damned idol into space in Notes. And the ending in 7DAS wasn't quite an ending, to say the least. It is also probable that the guys who got the fake Somerset could be cultists. It is quite strange. I thought that in 7DAS, the crew and their ship were far out into the Caracus galaxy, where everything is lifeless, therefor, no ship should be arround. Sure, it took the ship 5 Days (*wink*) or so to arrive, but still, it is quite peculiar.
Therefor, I rule in favor of a direct sequel to the plot in 7DAS.

By the way, can anyone remember what happened to the REAL Somerset?
"Once upon a time, musta been 'round October, few years back, in one o' dose TOP SECRET LAB-MOTORIES de gubbnint keep stashed away underneath Virginia, an EVIL PRINCE, occasion'ly employed as a part-time THEATRICAL CRITICIZER set to woikin' on a plot fo de systematic GENOCIDICAL REMOVE'LANCE of all unwanted highly-rhythmic individj'lls an' sissy-boys!" (Prologue, Thing-Fish)

He was dead, or sixty years old, or dead for sixty years, not sure.

He was 60 years old when he was killed a few weeks before 7DaS by an unknown assailant, assumed back then that the culprit was the fake Somerset, I'm not sure now, even though the protagonist sort of admits it...

I JUST WANTED TO GO INTO SPACE!

Eh, the red cultist doesn't look like the ones depicted at the end of Notes. They were wearing black, weren't they? I'll tell you what he does remind me of: the High Ones.

hun-hun... Im getting the point...look at the room. What do you see? An office desk, some kind of steel closet, a garbage can... and... a bed with blood marks. Probably one of those torture altars. Yes! This must be the Reddy personal torture office. Every one of the High Ones must have one of these...

Same here.

However, other than the fact the robe are both long and red, this robe bear no similarity with the High Ones' rag looking robe with no sleeves you can see in the close up in GFW. So it's unlikely it's one of the High Ones.

The only thing that make me think it could be an High One is the fact both John Defoe and the Tall Man powers were limited. John Defoe was limited because of the idol, and his physical body. As for the Tall Man, he only had powers in the magic realm. If Chzo was to be unleashed, I doubt mere humans or aliens, other than the High Ones that is, could seriously hope being a threat to Chzo. Unless if Chzo is as dum... er... has the same obsessive compulsive trouble as Q.

Time will tell I guess.

Nah, I agree it's very unlikely to be a High One, I'm just throwing things out here. If it is a cultist, and he's the playable character, then I think the game might take the form of a epiphany of what the hell the Order of Blessed Agonies is actually up to, and an attempt to sabotage their unleashing of Chzo in some way...

I just want this series to be over with so Yahtzee can maybe go back to making games that don't make me hide under my bed and cry like a woman.
