The rules are quite simple. You ask a question about a book. The next person will answer that question and will come up with a new question. Right? Right!

Here we go...

What is Albert Camus' debut novel?

Well, I know answer to that but only because I looked in Wikipedia... And I suppose that's cheating. How about trying to prepare such question that you'd need to really know the book or the author to answer, stuff you won't find that easily in Wikipedia articles?

For example (you don't have to answer that, because the thread is not really mine:

What is the name of Hans Castorp's cousin from The Magic Mountain?

It can be such a question, too. Just anything that has to do with books worth reading.

And I'm not really sure about your comment. I haven't read The Magic Mountain, but the answer was really easy to find if I wanted to cheat...

Okay! Let's establish ground rules, shall we? Referencing stuff is totally cheating. These quizzes happen all the time on forums, usually about games or music or something, and it's just etiquette to not research. There's obviously no way to stop someone from cheating, so it's kind of down to trusting the other contestants. Basically, if you want the prestige of winning this quiz that bad that you're going to secretly research the answers, well good luck to you. You sad git.

And yeah, you'd need to know the book or the author. That's the point. It's a literature quiz, you turn up and test your literary knowledge. If you don't know the answer from general knowledge, you lose.

Frankly I can't see this catching on though. I have doubts about our collective literary knowhow. :P
