JarJar would be a better choice to deliver the babies...

And Jar Jar would ''accidentaly'' drop Luke and he would break his head. Thus no Ot. devil.gif

(That was sarcasm of course. I can't imagine life without the OT.)

Why couldn't it just be a real person delivering the babies? That makes sense, right? Why trust a droid with rickety arms to hold your newborn?

what?

you wouldn't trust a small hovering robot to use it's hydrolic metal fingers and clamps to handle your newborn baby and vagina.

where is the trust?

You really want to trust something like that to 3PO?

Hell, Padmé trusted him enough to fly her spaceship with NO EXPERIENCE WATSOEVER. biggrin.gif

she does have a tendancy to get just anyone to fill in for her on the more important things.

So with that in mind, can we be 100% sure that the kids are really Anakin's?!?

I mean, he said himself that he was away at the Outer Rim for a fair while. Is it possible that someone got in there while he was gone? And if so, who are the most likely candidates.....?

<P.S. While on the subject of sex with Padme, I just about resisted the temptation to use a terrible Outer Rim innuendo>

Because the PT is constructed weakly, absurd thoughts about situations that normally wouldn't surface due to the crap level of the writing. Like:

Who breast fed the newborns after they went to their respective homes? Was there a breast feeding droid/milk dispenser or was it.....

YODA???

"Still, there's something familiar about this place........."

Curse you, GL.......

And here I thought I was the only one who was deeply disturbed by the Midwife Droid. You people give me hope. I wrote about it today in the blogosphere, if you share my pain and want to stop by: http://blogs.iberksh...BreedEmAndWeep/ (The entry's titled 'A great stupidness in the Force, there is' if you need to track it down in the archives.)

I also linked to this truly excellent '91 Reasons' site. You slay me.

And it can't be said that the 2-1B model has not been invented yet, because one of the droids that treats Anakin after his little trip to Mustafar is 2-1B.

Thanks for the link to your blogosphere, was hilarious and right on the button!!

My feeling re the medical droid echoed the incredulity most have shown re her shovel like paws, what really got to me though was how COLD this scene was. Lucas was so impressed with himself regarding CGI that he overlooked the fact that a dying woman just might want contact and reassurance from a living, breathing midwife, who spoke her own language. Or maybe Lucas just isn't human anymore. He really should get out of Skywalker Ranch a bit more.

This feels like a post script, but when the droid said they couldn't find any medical reason why Padme was dying, I wondered why Obi-Wan failed to ask the droid if it had been programmed for recognising the effects of force choking a heavily pregnant woman. I kind of assumed that this hadn't happened before and that Obi-Wan might want to check this out. Obi-Wan is obviously a very trusting individual.

If that had been the actual script for ROTS it'd be competing with ESB for greatest SW film.

Excellent stuff on there Jenn.

It looked like that because it was a MINING FACILITY. While the medical droids were well trained, they don't know nothin' about birthin' no baby. The midwife droid was quickly improvised, and not what one would see in a GOOD hospital.
