To get back on topic, the objective of this thread is to make observations about Chef Elf's reasons to hate ROTS.

I want all personal attacks to cease immediately.

Because, you did not do your homework assignment between Episodes 2 AND 3 and read/watch all the Clone War cartoons, comics and novels that came out and explained Grievous's assault on Coruscant, how grievous came about, how anakin became a knight, Obiwan a general, etc tongue.gif

Homework? That would be more like hard labor. ermm.gif

When Grievous' arms split I just thought 'Well, that's your contrived end of level boss Lucasarts.'

I agree with you... although it reminded me more of glorified can-opener.
Maybe they'll make some merchandise ones... For when you have a "grievous" need of opening a can. happy.gif

I think I may be the only person on the planet that was not totally offended by Grevious.

Still, Artoo Detoo the spunky feisty battler could have easily taken the Jawas in Star Wars... just burn them and zap them and use his power saw

Except that at first they took him by surprise and used some sort of droid stunning weapon on him. Then they stuck a restraining bolt on him. So when exactlly would he have had a chance to fight back?

When Obi-Wan was distracted by Anakin telling him he wanted his son to have his lightsabre. Oh, wait. I must've dozed off at that bit.

I think that Grevious cough is there to hint the viewer that he isnīt just a droid. I think itīs nice we donīt know why he coughs, i didnīt when i saw ROTS and i tought it added depth to the character, it made you think he went trough battles before etc...

Why is this so hard for people to understand? Back when I first saw the OT, I figured the whole "your father wanted you to have this" line was part of Obi-wan's lie. And it was.

Sorry to deviate further from the topic.

Back when I first saw the OT, I figured the whole "your father wanted you to have this" line was part of Obi-wan's lie. And it was.

Then it was just you... I never believed that, and I know MANY people who thought the same way. Obi-Wan did not become a liar until ROTJ....which is where Star Wars started to go downhill.

Turning Obi-Wan in to a liar was not a good move on Lucas' part, and to continue to do that is even worse.

I cannot be the only one who figured that to be the case. It seems logical once you accept that Obi-wan is a pathological liar. happy.gif I happen to know many people who always thought of it my way. And I know many more people who think it's a trivial point.

It's all your fault, Cowboy. You're holding me back! *weak throw*
