The scene where Jimmy Smits returns to Coruscant and is greeted by some of the clones (or whoever), and you can just see it in his face that he knows that something is SERIOUSLY wrong here. (and he says something like, "Okay, I think I'll be going then.")

I laughed every time I saw him in AOTC, but in this one scene he's absolutely fabulous. Seriously. It's one of the rare scenes where you're not reminded of the awful script and the awful story. It's a very good actor stepping up and making you believe (at least until the next ridiculous scene) that you are in another world.

Well done, Mr. Smits.

Vaders first breath.

The binary sunset, a classic revisited.

Anakins demise by the lava flow was really well done, both emotionally and otherwise.

Palpatine before morphing. I think he was far more scary as a soft spoken politician.

Then there were a couple of scenes and moments of foreboding doom, often pans with music. I can't really put my finger on it but the general atmosphere throughout the movie was just right.

Almost every action scene was really well done, but they were too often plagued by annoying little things like acrobatic artoo and buzz droids. Also, when I first heard the noise Obi-Wans lizard makes, my thoughts went to Jim Carreys "most annoying sound in the world" scene in Dumb & Dumber.

I just remembered about the return of the magic button.

In AotC, Padme presses presses the same button twice in her ship to do two totally different things.

Then in RotS, she presses the same button again, and this time it does something else.

That button is AWESOME, and I demand some backstory be written for it (filled with plot holes, naturally).

Order 66. Completely unlike anything we've seen before, but damn good.

Anakin on Mustafar. He's not Anakin, he's not Vader. I call him Mister Darkside but thats just me. The slaughter of the separatists, the waiting around, the final confrontation with Obi-Wan.

The cross-between of Anakin's rebirth and Padme's death. Anakin reborn as Vader before he started talking.

Sorry, but I hated how Palaatine delivered order 66. He did it with no emotion at all. Not to say that the carrying out of it was bad, because that's number 3 on my best moments list, right behind Anikin killing the kids (2) and Obi/Ani fight (1).

I also liked Yoda getting shot at. biggrin.gif

When Anakin chokes Padme. The lack of Oxygen to the developing fetus now explains why Luke is such a glazed over dumb ass.

Well, I like Luke. I don't care what anyone says, he's someone I can identify with.

The scene where all the Jedi are being slaughtered, and Yoda drops his cane is the only scene where I felt bad for the characters. I really do believe Yoda was the second best actor in the film, after Obi Wan.

Hey, has anyone played Final Fantasy X????? Does the scene in the opera house look a little familiar?? Blitzball anyone?

Han was always far cooler. He was funny, self-made, cool, had a wookie, always saved Luke's ass, got the girl (and could act).

I could never reconcile Luke as the hero. He's a GW type, put into a situation by those around him and had his held every step of the way. Did he ever win at anything? In ESB he tried to commit suicide, and in ROTJ his own evil dad had to save his ass in the end.

I second that. I think he was great, also I loved Yoda in this one but I don't get the Jedi's inane decisions that were made. "Hmmm something's not right with Palps, I know let's send in young Skywalker, who is the most volatile Jedi we have, to go spy on him, yeah that's it that's the ticket."
