I haven't played any newer stealth games, so I can't be sure about my standards in this context, but the use of positional sound effects and the general atmosphere were really amazing.

Gave it a try just now (I'm at the Hammerite mine/prison place with the zombies, it's frustrating), not really my thing, but I sort of see why so many people liked it.

Ah, right. Add the term "Hammerite" to my list of shenanigans occurring in Thief.

My original copy of The Dark Project is one of those games I own that are on my "Objects I Vainly Hope Will Be Worth Something One Day" lists. My Looking Glass games will make me super rich, you taffers.
David, if you ever reach the Cathedral level - that place scared the brown stuff out of me.
Gobbler, what's your problem with the storyline?

It sounds much more convincing than Assasin Creed or similar cyberpunk+medival games these days.
I'll add this to my list of 'cyberpunk games I must try out someday'. I've already bought Quake 1, by the way.
Anyone get these working nicely on XP?
Steam couldn't be assed to put on the first two, though they do have deadly shadows.
Edit: Oh, yeah, this is for Yahtzee. About action games, I actually liked SiN...well, just the action and besides they put on too much make up on the sequal that no one cared about it anymore and the jokes were unfunnier than the cultural references in the previous game. Thought you might want to know that action doesn't pay all the time.

Electricity + Faggy dresses + "goverment is bad/weak" = Cyberpunk < lesbians
