Smashed up what I believed in,
Smashed up what's left of me.
Smashed up my everything,
Smashed up all I thought was true,

I demand that the dev team drop everything and give me a status report.
EDIT: I really wonder how they're going pull this off. All the games I know of that use this engine have silent protagonists. Doesn't strike me as Trilby's style to never talk to anyone.

I mean, Myst was all silent-protagonist first-person and I adore those games.
Most people dislike them because they actually require you to use your brain.

FECKIN' BORING AS HELL.
...Seriously, there are plenty of games out there that require brainpower that don't also require an additional 5 cups of coffee made with caffeinated water to stay awake.

The forums may be quiet because they're too busy working on the game. Ordinarily I'd be cynical about progress, but with Yahtzee involved in the thing I'm sure he'll crack the whip a bit.
While Yahtz was known to be a bit fickle in the old days, he's damn well shown that he can deliver on expectations recently. What with weekly ZP reviews and following up on planned sequels (1213), I think it's safe to say that if he says he'll do it, he'll do it.
Now find something to occupy your time until it's done.

I mean, what was wrong with the original game? They've just gone and made it nice and shiny, and that rarely is a good idea.
I've got nothing against a new game being made, but to remake 5DAS with extra bells and whistles seems a bit ill-advised.
