This says a lot to that statement! Last time I took an IQ test (also rubbish) I was so ahead of all of the people from America they gave me the analysis (that usually costs money in $) for free ! Buyt that was a rubbish test, some of the questions weren't actually related to intelligence, and it didn't test well. Most IQ tests are pretty bad though. Unless it's been made specifically for you, it's not going to test you too well. Anyway, I'm still smarter than that boy!!!

I am almost a genius, guys!
Well I've never been tested, but I'm not promiscuous or anything, so I don't think I have an IQ.

After that, all you have to do is hack the system and reference something like this to make you look smart:
Yay me. Still should have photochopped that a bit moar, I guess...
Edit: And yes, it is that early in the morning. Get offah me lawn.

Yeah, his description was inadequate. Halo is quite a bit more in depth than that. But all the cutscenes can be skipped.
The point is the story is there for whoever wants to follow it. The actual game itself was (at the time) visually pleasing, good, not-too-violent stress relief and was challenging, especially on the high difficulty setting.
Halo 2 was mostly just to continue the story, but it did enhance popular pieces of the game and also to give people some online multiplayer. The multiplayer isn't that fantastic but it appeals to people who liked the game, and you get to try out creative strategies agaisnt human players.
I've yet to play Halo 3 so I can't really comment.
DooM had a storyline too. It was actually quite deep, but it's not an important aspect to play the game. Some people like story though.
And then there's the brainwashed consumerist Xbox 'tards.

Hahahahaha, what?
I might have missed something, but I'd appreciate if you'd elaborate on this, because the only semblance of a Doom story I've ever seen is this.

Jesus, what a piece of shit. I wrote better fan fiction in elementary school.

Yes, but 1. it happened in elementary school; 2. I ripped it apart as soon as I read it, because even then I had some sense of self-criticism (unlike SOME people).
