I suppose it should have been expected to a degree but still I was shocked at the sudden and sadly misfortunate appearance of Krys' once-thought dead husband.

The surprise was easily doubled simply by the ability of the artist (read 'you') to depict such a close resemblance to Lance and yet to do so by representing him as realistically different in such a way as to avoid stooping to the level of the now outdated and unfunny method of duplicating the first character with an added mustache (not to ignore the still tastefully applied under-chin scruff).

I am also pleased with the updated windmills in the recent image. And added, I enjoy the gender switching of Don Quixote in the same way I enjoy songs covered by members of the opposite sex (double the merit when sexual preference is kept in tact, which I suspect Eskimo may uphold if Lefty has predicted* correctly).

*Not sure if 'predicted' is the word as I am assuming he is getting his information from the earlier comics. Perhaps I should do my homework and look that up.

Awesome! Thanks a bunch. I am glad you liked it. I like Rook a lot. I'm not exactly sure when he'll show up again, but I want him to.

For old strip research, might I recommend Eskimo's Date?

You spoiled me with your 5-day-a-week update schedule. being able to publish a page a day is no mean feat. Most professionals can't manage it.

L&E is among the few online comics worth reading. Be fruitful and multiply (your page count).

you just ink without doing pencil sketches, i gather. good job!

thanks! Actually, I do pencil and then ink, but sometimes I take shortcuts and try to do a really vague sketch or deviate from my pencil drawing on the ink stage. That's when you get to see mess-ups. smile.gif I wish I could just ink, it would be quicker and more badass!

that's how i do it! the results are pretty haggard but only a bit more haggard than if i sketched first. I don't have the steady hands of an inker.

Q: Are you going to stop updating L&E since you have a new website now?

LH.com really isn't new and I don't really update it. So, short answer: No.

I'm still enjoying the slowly updating installments. smile.gif

And Lefty, I crack up every time I see a For Better or Worse comic solely on the basis of "the mouth of death". tongue.gif It's so prevalent!

From my highschool sketchbooks.

I don't know where I got them from then. I must have been on crack.
