Only few recent times I have been lucky and the place wasn't even a proper college it was a night class and yet I passed reasonably (without wearing stupid uniforms that make these insulting claims about making people behave and pass).

By law in my place it is now a requirement in certain places but that is why most of these places fall back on and make a lot of excuses about funding. They demean people's ability to do the courses if they can't provide the required help (even if the person previously passed very well on many occasions with the required help in other places) or by grades and saying (it is too challenging to them because the way we teach it to them is the only way it can be passed), the attitude example I wrote above and the mis use of jumbling up the words (private/support/personal/tutors) to confuse people who don't ask indepth questions before joining as I do now.

I think from my experience "Whatever you do don't allow a label to be put on your head because if you have a weakness people like that tend to take advantage out of you and it can follow you for life. You risk falling into a controversial political program followed by professional opinions to cut budgets and to prove political points in their own hidden agendas."

Ok, I'm sorry, but there's one thing you keep saying that keeps catching my eye and confusing me.

Uniforms? In college?

They can't possibly enforce something like that on a college campus! High school and below, sure, they may rule with an iron fist, but when you're shoveling out thousand of dollars each semester for classes, room and board, and loads of other expenses, they can't claim any right to dictate how you dress.

I've gone to classes where people have shown up in pajama pants and bunny slippers, for god's sake!

Pfft. Honestly.
Check out my crappy drawings!

Hehheh... http://www.bju.edu/p...pect/dress.html Not quite a uniform, yet, but dang. You should also check out the links on the side; general expectations, and residence hall life. And these pages don't cover half of the rules. And this is one of the most expensive colleges ever. Oh, silly BJU.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

No just in Schools and I did hear of it being enforced in some colleges and some private places. I never went to college after school apart from a year later. The educational system works differently in my place.

Men:

Morning Dress–dress shirt (no denim/chambray) with tie, dress or neat casual pants (no jeans, cargo, carpenter, or sloppy pants), dress or leather casual shoes; sweaters should show shirt collar and tie knot (no sweatshirts).

Afternoon Dress–collared shirt (no crew necks), neat casual pants, dress or casual shoes (no slides or sandals), socks above the ankle, sweatshirts or sweaters.

Sunday Dress–coat, tie, and dress shirt; dress shoes; dress or dressier casual pants.

Recreation and Work Dress–jeans, t-shirts, shorts at athletic facilities (not as spectators at sports events), sleeveless athletic shirts (indoor activities only), socks required (including at work).

Women:

Tops

* Tops must be long enough that the midriff is never exposed.
* Sleeves are required. (Sleeveless tops and dresses may be worn with a blouse, jacket, or sweater.)
* Necklines may come no lower than four fingers below the collarbone.

That sounds to me like a place for "Wear your tie is more important if you are a man".

Pay to go there to get discriminated. Policies and clothes instead of learning. They have a high opinion of themselves. "If you don't look pretty we'll throw you out!"

Annoys me the most that most of the pictures I find:

Men: Tie and uniform
Women: plain comfortable clothing
Common: All smiling.

To sum it up here on Residents Hall Life

They even allow storing guns but not fireworks and the above on that list?
So they class certain types of music, gore games and videos as offensive compared to bringing in a weapon that will be stored away?

I call that like living in a corrupt political prison.

Hehe. Bob Jones is just plain CRAZY, spoon. Creepy-cultish to the extreme. Of course, you know this since you live in the South, but it's not really all that fair to cite them as an example of colleges that require dress codes, since it's a cult-recruitment center. tongue.gif

Edit:

Heh heh heh.

Joke: Four fingers down the long way one finger up?

Sorry to criticise them I didn't know that they are a religion or part of one. I would get criticised out there for my non intentional offensive personal preferences.

Miserable miserable day.
Electricity prices are going up.
I would hate to show my pictures on a site infested full of adverts and bandwidth limitations.

I feel sick due to something I ate.

Nobody to talk to anymore.

Uniforms? In college?

In Australia, the term 'college' refers to a private high school. As such, my college had a uniform.

Of course, my university didn't. I remember once one of my friends came to his lectures wearing a hard-helmet with beer cans attached.

Meaning the term college with a collar.
Places that drag you from the collar.

Irrationality, guilt, depression, tanked self-esteem, tripled social fear, the sudden complete inability to find joy in the things I love the most...

God, I love hormones. I love that insane transition from Voice-of-Reason/Semi-Normal Self, to Ranting "I'll Fucking CUT You If You Say Something I Don't Like!" Bitch, to Whimpering Little Girl, then back to Semi-Normal Self again, all within about fifty hours.

Ahhh...so your mother also believes that if every bit of fruit is not eaten straight away, it'll go bad and be a waste of money. If they're afraid of it going bad, they shouldn't buy so damn much of it at one time!
