I made an observation regarding Commander Cody. When Darth Sidious tells the clones to execute Order 66, they all reply with "It will be done my lord."

However, Commander Cody replies with "Yes, sir".

Cleary, he has exceeded his clone limitations.

Gosh Storm. You've probably seen that film more than anybody else here.

Interesting.

"Will more Prequels suck?" we asked. Either of their responses would apply.

Well, the only reason I bring it up is because I am wondering if Cody was somehow different than the other clones, or if Lucas was just too lazy to keep all the clones responses the exact same.

I think Commander Cody was meant to be different. Just because he was grown in the same facility as all the other clones is nothing. He obviously had his own character. The fact he was given a name is proof he was set apart from the rest. That is the ultimate debate on clones, do they become their own person or just a direct copy?

I find it hard to believe it was in the theaters for 567 showings. 6 showings a day? was it still at the cinema in August? rolleyes.gif

Not to discredit your boast. The claim alone speaks volumes.

It's also interesting to note that Cody does a very sloppy job in attempting to dispose of Kenobi. As where the other clone commanders snuck up on their Jedi generals and shot them in the back of the head (which is what I would have done), Cody ordered another clone to fire at Kenobi from a ridiculously far distance. Perhaps part of him wanted Kenobi to live, therefore gave him a decent chance of surviving.

Probably because "Cody" kind of rhymes with "Kenobi". smile.gif

Well, Obi was going up a cliff wall at the time. Wouldn't it be hard to sneak up behind him at that point?

If I were Cody, I would have waited for the battle to have ended. After Kenobi would return and tell me "Well done, Commander. The Clone Wars are now over, thanks in large part to you." and begin to walk away, I would say "Oh, by the way....I think you'll be needing this." The instant after I say that, I would begin blasting him in the back of the head. Even after he was clearly dead, I would summon 10 other clone troopers and continue firing 1000 shots each at his dead corpse.

I believe Commander Bly followed a similar strategy on that flower planet.
