You can take a pill in that scene and get back to good ol' reality instantly, where the ladder is currently having a better day.

have you played eternal darkness yahtzee? I -think- I noticed a couple of homages to it in the game

vague similarities:
-multiple characters through time, most meeting a sticky end
-mind,body and soul thing (one god for each in eternal darkness, could a mind and soul god appear in a TN sequel maybe?)
-character being bound to one of these gods, and has to summon it into world
-turning into john defoe is kinda like a sanity effect
-.....finding pages of an ancient book i suppose between flashbacks....

not sure if this point has been brought up before, or if its valid, but love the game, and ED, so its cool in my book

(and no im not claiming 'rip-off' or anything like that before you say, i somewhat understand the concept of an homage)

anyway, aside from my rambles, great game, and good luck on the next one, Trilby game or not

got the special edition, which answers my previous question, anyway, i cant seem to complete it the second time, i finished the ruitual the first time easily enough (NE), but i cant manage it the second time (in the SE), im mashing f3 and enter as much as possible, while trying to exhaust every topic and action available, just cant manage it for some reason, might try again from the start (save game is just after ritual start)

anyway, want to see this extended ending, so ill think ill try again

-talk lenkmann ritual
-talk lenkmann cult
-talk lenkmann himself
-talk lenkmann siobhan
-talk lenkmann defoe
-talk lenkmann tall man
-talk lenkmann stump
-talk lenkmann chzo
-talk lenkmann watch the match?
-lots of kicking, grabbing, standing up/looking, mashing f3
miss anything?

The answer to your question would be:
QUOTE (Yahtzee @ Jun 30 2006, 05:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Okay, I've had enough of this. There is a very simple solution for the final scene. You don't have to spam commands or anything.

What you do is this: at the start of the scene, type MOVE or any equivalent so that Trilby's injury gets worse. After that you don't have to do anything but wait. After 500 game loops (12.5 seconds) the first 'getting weaker' message appears. After another 500 game loops the second one (buzzsaw lungs) appears. After another 500 loops Trilby will give the whole 'will to live' spiel and only after that can you DIE. There, that's it.

I'm hungry.

Out of curiosity, was there any reason why the game was set in 1997 -- putting 5DAS in '93 as well? The only thing I could come up with would be lack of cellphones. Or possibly the storyline's been in the works for over 9 years....

Because (I'm guessing) the Days series is set in the same canon as GFW and YTOTW - in which case, the world is blown up in 2002.

...Naaah. You couldn't find two sets of worlds that are more different than these.

just completed the special edition after doing a blitz through the game again.

the extended ending is almost work the minimum donation in itself (along with the ability to listen to the harpsichord music outside the game smile.gif

itching for the next one already, so many questions to be answered (such as where did 1213 get the snazzy coat and staff tongue.gif)

It's not. In 7 Days a Stranger, they live in a universe devoid of alien life. In GFW, there are clearly plenty of aliens around. This is witnessed by the 'first contact' line in 7DAS. Although I guess that could refer to first contact in that Galaxy.

Do your homeworks, my little friends. smile.gif

Both games series, while you can easily play each without caring about the other, are canon. The earth is blown up by Yahtzee, not in 2002, but in 2040 (as mentionned in P12) during YTOTW. It's the event that leads to the creation of the Earth Federation, the same Earth Federation which is mentionned several times in both P12 and 7DaS.

Fair go. I only said 2002 because that was when the comic ended.

The game demands a sequel. It leave so many openings for a follow up. Lets not forget that trilbey stated destroying the idol would help them with the summoning, yet in 7 days it is indeed destroyed. I hope you will consider a sequel yahtzee, so we can have more of your pant filling suprises.

Yes, he does consider a sequel, it's just not known when it will be ready, if it will be ready.
