I thought thats just what they called it. I thought Taiwan didnt want anything to do with China. And that China just lets them pretend they are a separate place, because theyre scared to get into a brawl with the US.

K mabye scareds not the word.

China doesn't give a shit what the US think, they don't make much secret of the fact that Thailand doesn't want to part of Chinese Empire. I mean, there are protests in Thailand on a monthly basis. But if the US intervenes in Thailand, some of its own territory may come into question, I read an article the other day that in opinion polls that many around 70% of Texans don't want to part of the United States.

Everybody knows Texas is their own country. That’s why they can fly their flag at the same height as the American flag, and why they only allow native born Texans to be Texas Rangers.

Guess what? At least 70% of the rest of the US doesn't want Texas either. So they can go join Mexico or whatever the hell they want. In fact, a lot of us would rather just ditch the entire southern half. In my opinion, the Civil War wasn't nearly as final as it should've been.

But why bring that up, anyway? It's completely irrelevent. The point is this: The Arabs attacked Israel, not the other way around. Whether or not they were provoked or whether or not it was justified, they attacked first.

Abbey brought up the deal that about China being afraid of US intervening over Thailand, but then places like Texas in US might come under question. As might several other states, mostly the Southern states, New York, and California. But yeah, it has nothing to do with HAMAS or anything like that so back on topic:

The Arabs had rejected the November 1947 UN Partition Plan, which proposed the establishment of Arab and Jewish states in Palestine. They considered the UN Plan to be invalid because it was opposed by Palestine's Arab majority, and claimed that the British withdrawal led to an absence of legal authority, making it necessary for them to protect Arab lives and property.

About two thirds of Palestinian Arabs fled or were expelled from the territories which came under Jewish control practically all of the much smaller number of Jews in the territories captured by the Arabs.

But one must ask themselves, is North Ireland its own country or apart of England?

1. That's not England, that's the United Kingdom.
2. Nothern Ireland is not part of Great Britain (or indeed England), hence why it is refered to as "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". Great Britain is a term exclusively for the states of England, Scotland, and Wales. Each is an separate nation and all have equal representation in Parliament.
3. Just under half the the people in Nothern Ireland want out of the Union, and just over 50% want to stay in. Its pretty much 50:50, but the Unionists just seem to scrap enough votes each election to warrant the Union.

Its quite a big issue in Britain, because well there's too much detail to go into all that much detail inside a topic that has nothing to do with it. But, I think I will start a topic about this now.
