I'm getting started on "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin. Supposedly, it's the Russian equivalent to "1984" or "Brave New World". I don't know. My girlfriend lent it to me.

I read that book awihle ago and thought that although there might be some possibility of such things occuring (like the intentional murder and what not), the book was full of shit. On another point, if everyone had stuck with whoever the main character was, it was quite obvious that they would have had a better chance of survival. That is besides the fact that he was the one with morals and such. At the end when they were rescued if the kid told me what the rest had done, I might have been inclined to kill the little scumbags, or at least leave them stranded. I would have said the rest had died somehow. If they were doing that now, imagine what they might have grown up to be come. And why might I have believed the kid you ask, well who was chasing who with spears trying to kill him?
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

I finished reading Che guevara's Guerilla Warfare for the second time. I'm just about to start reading Lenin's Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism. I got the book ages ago, so I may aswell read it.

What did the computer game addict say when he read a book?
The graphics aren't upto much, the sound is abit limited, and the plot is abit linear.

If my English class, say, were stuck on an island together, I don't think much would happen.

Possibly because due to people who can't divide evenly, it has all of six people in it.

Has anyone read Lloyd Alexander's The Book of Three or at least seen the film The Black Cauldron which was loosely based upon his work?

How about Jeanne DuPrau's The City of Ember, anyone reading that?

Alfred Bester - Demolition
I've read that book a couple of times now and I still can't say whether it's good, bad or just something in between...

Going through all the books I have ever read by Isaac Asimov: Understanding Physics

I've read both The Book of Three and The City of Ember. Sadly, I don't remember much of the first, and I didn't really like the second.
Kind of reminded me of The Wind on Fire trilogy, only less so.
