You know, that game where you create a creature? I was just wondering if anybody else was interested in it.

I am now. Is it a video game? Do you create a new species and send it out to fend for itsself and see how well you do or something?

Aye, I'm lookin' forward to it. It's basicly controlling a life form from it's amoeba phase to intergalactic travel.

Each stage in the creature's life plays differently, quite differently. It's a very interesting concept. Just hope they'll do a better job than Lionhead's the movies.

Ooh, sounds interesting.

I'll have to play it on Otal's video game system when it comes out.

I'll use that, then.

I may even get it for Otal for his birthday. Which was several months ago. *uncomfortable cough*

Several months? Excuse me, Mirithorn, you have precisely ten days before it's SIX months!

Also, if that's gonna be my birthday present, you will have waited eighteen months.

Actually, this is quite similiar to a game played in one book of a series that I read a long time ago. The series was the Animorphs, and it was in one of the pre-beginning books. I'll find more out about it in a couple of days or so
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

That's what I was thinking about, too. When I first read that it sounded like a really interesting game, and I wished there were some way I could play it.

I remember Animorphs... Ah, good ole' adolescent fiction. I'll look into this game, mayhaps.

I have played the demo creature creator... It's pretty decent. EA took down the online service yesterday, probably because they realised that the game had been leaked. It'll be back up tomorrow, since thats the official release date of the demo.

Woo! I am very excited about Spore! I didn't realize that I'd posted here so long ago, before I even knew what it was. My BIG issues are that it's published by EA (huge assholes in the games industry), and they're going through all of this DRM total bullshit where you have to reactivate your game online every ten days or it will become unplayable. Because, of course, EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE ENTIRE WORLD will pirate the game, not download it, unless they make users jump through an entire three ring circus to play the fucking game the users just legitimately purchased.

I downloaded the trial version of creature creator but, like most new EA stuff, it crashes my computer if I try to run it. My computer is old but it's perfectly capable of running the program. It runs beautifully for the first minute then inevitably crashes.

I had the same problem with Sim City Societies. Not quite sure what it is.

When I get my new laptop in I'm going to try creature creator again. I really want to check it out.
